Overview[]
After hosting a STAR WARS viewing party, Tim loses Colin on a walk. Later, they find he has been abducted by the head of an animal-testing laboratory and they stage a rescue to get him back.
Synopsis[]
Daisy and Colin are now blissfully happy together, although a jealous Tim still harbours deep reservations; he believes Colin is just a killing machine waiting for his chance to eat them all. While at work, Bilbo recounts the story of a homeless man named Minty who owned a German Shepherd dog called Gramsci who was trained to attack rich people. One day Minty won £100,000 on a scratch card, and Gramsci bit his knees off. Bilbo claims that Gramsci still lives wild on Hempstead Heath...
After an evening spent watching the three original Star Wars films, Tim is elected to take Colin for a walk since Daisy thinks this will give them a chance to bond. Unbeknownst to anyone, a shadowy figure has been stalking Daisy and Colin and, as Tim waits for Colin to 'do his thing' in the park, the figure abducts the dog. Tim returns home claiming Colin has been eaten by an alligator, but a heartbroken Daisy believes Tim intentionally let him go and punches him.
Tim and Daisy spend the next day fruitlessly searching for Colin, but on returning home find an anonymous note claiming Colin was taken by a freelance animal vivisectionist named James Eldridge and is being held at a secret lab. Tim assembles Daisy, Mike, Twist and Brian and they plan a night time raid on the lab to get their dog back.
The raid initially goes well; Mike and Brian hold the single security guard at gunpoint (and later bond with him) while Daisy, Tim and Twist locate the holding pens. Tim goes in and finds Colin, breaking down the door and rescuing him as well as several kittens. As the alarms sound, the team makes a run for the gate only to find it stuck; at this point the security guard comes out and opens the gate for them while phoning the police to say the break in is a false alarm. Correctly deducing the anonymous letter was from the guard, Daisy expresses regret that he will get in trouble for letting them escape. Twist has an idea though - using her makeup bag she makes it look like they beat him up. Back home, Tim reads in the paper that James Eldridge is now on the run with £250,000 after the police uncovered his illegal lab, and was last seen near Hempstead Heath...
The scene cuts to Eldridge running through a dark park while stalked by something in the shadows. Finally something (implied to be Gramsci) lunges out of the dark...
