Spaced Wiki

Leaves is the seventh episode of Series Two of Spaced.

Overview[]

With Marsha gone and the house up for sale, Daisy and Tim hatch a plan to save themselves and their friends from oblivion. However, has Daisy had enough? And does Tim really care?

Synopsis[]

Marsha has put 23 Meteor Street up for sale and Twist has broken up with Brian and gone to Manchester, leaving him unable to cope with his heartbreak. In order to fix things, and unbeknownst to Daisy, Tim and Mike decide to do something 'Bloody Spectacular'; bringing Brian out of his torment with a rousing speech (and by playing the Thunderbirds theme tune) they enlist Dexter and Cromwell to borrow an army tank and park outside Marsha's flat, playing Take That's "Want You Back" and holding an apology sign.

Sophie reveals that she has been offered a job at Marvel Comics in Seattle and will be leaving in the morning. Although they discuss trying to keep things going long-distance, they agree on an amicable end to their relationship, with Tim promising to take her to the airport.

Daisy discovers where Colin has been disappearing off to; he has been visiting an elderly female neighbour who gives him more attention. It soon transpires that the neighbour intends to keep Colin and a despondent Daisy, having recently received a job offer at a local newspaper in Colwyn Bay, sees no future for herself in London and heads for the train station.

Returning from their successful mission to apologise to Marsha, Brian leaves to set up a new art installation in Manchester - he uses his piece from 'Mettle', only this time he finds the missing element is his portrait of Twist. It is implied that Twist sees the installation and realises she still has feelings for Brian.

Tim finds Daisy's goodbye note. Torn between his promise to Sophie and his feelings for Daisy, Tim asks Mike to take Sophie to the airport, foregoing his chance to say goodbye in person, and giving him a letter for her. Tim rides Private Iron to the train station with Colin, who has decided to come back after an unsuccessful attempt by his new owner to rename him Lancelot. Arriving just in time, Time and Daisy reconcile and head home together. With Marsha home and greeted by Mike with a bottle of wine and a disassembled rifle, Daisy, Tim and Colin relax in their flat, together at last. As the credits roll, the 'For Sale' sign is removed from the front garden.
